Rosicrucian Symbolism

From the writings of
Basil Valentine
Late 14th C - 15th C

Coloured reproductions here presented by kind permission of Adam McLean ©

The images were achieved through the inspiration of Valentine's works.
The following examples were created some two centuries following his writings by Georg Beatus
in Azoth, Sive Aurelice Occultae Philosophorum, 1613, comprising a series of 14 emblems
and the influential 12 Keys of Bazil Valentine incorporating a woodcut emblem of each
in Michael Maier's Tripus Aureus 1618.

The engravings have been beautifully enhanced in modern times
through the scholarship of Adam McLean ©
